Yes, words leave invisible scars on our souls. The Bible says the tongue is the most difficult organ of the body to control. I also was raised with verbal cruelty and my first husband was abusive. While we all make thoughtless remarks to each other, especially in anger, if someone in your life is constantly hurting you, get rid of that toxic person! Life is too short.

Why are you still with him? Too often I see your posts about how cruel he is to you. You have to love yourself and know that you deserve so much better

I'm sorry he says such mean things to you. Words do leave scars. I carry many scars from being bullied in school. Big hugs.

If I were you, I'd get rid of him and realize you deserve better. My ex husband was very abusive and it wasn't until I realized how detrimental to my health he really was did I get rid of him. He was so angry that he kicked the cooler out of the window and slammed every door on his way out. I called the police and had him escorted off the property.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
