I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

If we are any more likely to see spirits that aren't hallucinations and I do believe in both, then I think it's only because when we are suicidal we are on the cusp. It opens a door to that world and the door might never shut for some one who's struggling to stay alive.
Just my theory on it. But what the hell do I know?
I think I have both only because I don't think other people can hallucinate the same thing. But most of the stuff I see I tell myself it's all hallucination because I don't want it to be real.
People always get those mixed up.
If you don't have filters you end up with extreme autism because you just get sensory overload permanently. You see, hear, smell everything all of the time. That's why exteme auties do the screaming and head banging.
You also have a bunch of systems that are designed to trip early and bring your attention to things like movement.
If the alarm systems are affected by any stress, ie being really hot (fever), shock (e.g bereavement), drugs (e.g LSD) or mania then the alarms keep going off and tell you something is moving that isn't. Chances are you will se people because the alarms are also set to faces.
So if you are bipolar you will see and hear things. Often people.
If you are bereaved you will see and hear things - usually your dead partner.
If you have fever you will see and hear things.
If you get really stressed you will see and hear things.
If you take hallucinagenic drugs you will see and hear things
I've experienced all of these personally and I still think there is nothing there.
but you can't use that alone to discount the possibility of another realm beyond our eyes. The truth is I really don't know. (agnostic)
I tend to believe that it is they way our minds operate and perceive things. The science is there. but science doesn't always account for every thing. Some times I see stuff and I know it has nothing to do with the bi polar.. for example my sisters boyfriend and i were waling accross a bridge over running water at night. We saw a huge shdowlike beast.Just enough that it made you think "hey did I really just see that? but when my brother in law said the same thing before me and knew what I had seen tbat leads me t tink that sometign is going ont there. what it is I couldn't tell you.
And so is the way we interpret them.
We have a different view of the world.
Some of us are probably much more attuned than your average bear.
And some of us are probably more clueless than we should be.
Yes, I have had some experiences that defy rational explanation.
Do I think that proves a paranormal and/or spiritual experience was the cause?
I'm with Hamlet!!! "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
Just because we don't see a logical reason, that isn't proof that one doesn't exist.
