Its a good thing that I have a usmc dad that I am scared to death of. or else I would let her have it one of these days. Both of them, really.
Of all the family members, etc., that try to ignore you, or tell you that you're loud, or aggressive, or you need to get a grip or a handle on it, blah blah blah.............. how many of them have tried to get YOU to fight THEIR battles for them???
I've had my own daughter do that. I spent a great deal of time trying to keep my anger at a minimum of not going off and I've had my mother and/or my daughter on different occasions be with me and something negative happen with a cashier or some stranger, and like my daughter will say, "MOM???? AREN'T YOU GOING TO GO OFF ON HER?"
It's like I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't.
I think the second most used phase we use is, "I am sorry!"
