Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I have a theory that our minds occasionally go into overload. That between all the cycling of moods we reach a state where our mind just goes blank.
There are people that spend their whole lives trying to attain a state of utter blankness and call it enlightenment.
I have had that feeling. I call it my grey period or being in neutral.
I use it as a time of self reflection. I used to wonder if it was what "normal" felt like.
I suggest to just accept it for what it is.
Seems like you aren't "allowed" to attain happiness with this illness since "happiness" is so mistaken for hypomania or mania.
my therapist said we may not know what it feels like to be normal so the mood you're feeling could be "normal"
that would be nice to be normal huh? But then again we wouldnt be us.... delima
Is happiness a fairy tale? Does it even exist?
BUT, if what I'm feeling is what it feels like to be "normal", then I don't want to be normal.
