Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

haven't been online for the past few weeks because i've been up (bp II so not horrible- pleasant if anything) but now i'm back to being down
i'm still not medicated because ive been waiting to hear back from 3 different referrals... i've been looking to see someone since september
canada = free health care but SLOW service if you don't want to pay :(
at what point do i consider going to the hospital for inpatient treatment? i think/research about suicide probably everyday even when i'm up (being up is still depressing when you know depression is right around the corner). even though right now i don't think i would actually commit suicide because of the pain it would cause my parents, i am worried if emotions take over.
it's to the point where i feel like i can't take care of myself/am seriously going batshit fucking crazy in my own head and i might actually do something. i constantly feel like screaming/hurting myself/breaking and punching shit. my emotions have completely taken over my mind and i honestly do feel like i'm losing it but on the outside i'm my usual, quiet self. i'm worried i'm going to snap on someone or myself.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Can you check into an ER? Or see a Crisis team? Etc.
To be evaluated.....?
((((Hugs))))) this stuff is never easy....
Generally, A and E (our term for ER) is probably the last place you wanna go to due to the huge waiting lists; my local A and E in Antrim is notoriously bad. Could take a whole day in A and E.
Perhaps talk to your Psychiatrist, if you have one. Taking meds might be the answer, but let the professionals decide; some Doctors can lead you up the wrong path.
