I knew when my anxiety was so crippling i feared going into work that it would cause me into self harming behaviours. I used to work in a residential care home. I would have constant anxiety over work that took over my life. When i started ringing in last minute cancalling shifts ( being unrealiable) i knew it was only fair to the enployers that i wasnt in work. I do voluntary work when well enough and on disability. Volunteer work makes me still feel im doing my part but theres so much less pressure on and that helps me alot.

At the end I started to have some big memory problems so it scared me …. My pdoc thinks it's anxiety and I went onto disability at that time

Maybe you need to take some time off to heal... More then just a couple of weeks....xo

Jan, that's what I am afraid of. I need a job though, i need more than just my disability. I have an interview on Thursday and even though the reviews of the place aren't great, i hope I get the job just for something until I can find something better.

i new back in 1998. i went on disability back then i was 28 and had 6 visits in pathent in 4 years. after getting new meds i was able to work partime at mcdonalds at night time 20 hours per week i work well so they keep me. but they dont understand fully because i can only work 3 days a week not 5 like everyone else. but if they get between me and my disability i will quit and try some place else. so far just one manager dosent like me but the rest do like me.
