So far I have been to two soccer games with my nephews and step son. I am suppose to help MIL move some furniture this afternoon but that hasn't happened yet.

House needs cleaning and homework needs to be done...Also trying to figure out how to pay rent..Fun Times!

Been in bed most of the day watching TV. Right now I'm watching DEADLY WOMEN. But at some point, I have to move to the couch downstairs right? Told yall mornings are the worst time for me and now it's past 1pm here. Blah.

I have done 2 loads of laundry and now I am making a big batch of black beans so I can have them next week with brown rice for dinners.

I still need to take Spike(my dog) on a long walk so we both get our exercise in. Kinda gloomy and chilly here so hard to get motivated so I promised him we would go after lunch.

having a child with a "hidden" disability gives you perspective when looking at other kids in the world that are acting up. i know since my son was diagnosed I have looked at kids acting up in stores a different way. Its a shame that it takes having a special child for people to understand that others could be in the same boat. the general public with perfect children dont know what we go through on a daily basis. yes its embarrasing when our children act up because people are rude enough to stare and make comments. if they only knew what our life was like each minute that would have a new perspective

Chelle, I understand the child meltdown thing, I've got a handicapped one too. Fact, he's home today so basicly just chillin' at the house. Took the daughter to another!! sweet 16 party. She's almost 18 shouldn't she be done with these things? Hubby had to work today. We've got business and dinner to do when he gets home.

I totally agree with Angeleyes. I think you may know my son is pretty developmentally delayed (due to brain injury) and they suspect mild autism as well. & sometimes peoples comments about why he does certain things hurt. I feel like everyone is looking at me when we go out to restaurants and he does not eat anything (he has sensory integration disorder and will only drink vanilla pediasure from a playtex nurser while laying down - no other way/combo, he literally will starve - well that is how sensory integration disorder works) anyways I think they think we are starving him.. But that is just my own insecurities - the comments are the worst though. :hugs:

Wow, I think all of you women taking care of these special needs children are amazing. It takes special people to be able to handle all of that. I can barely take care of myself when I am cycling. Big props to you ladies.

We went out to eat last night to Captain D's. You know it always takes them a few minutes to get your food done. Dillon was fine as long as he was sitting there across from the cash register, but when Jim went to the table with him, he lost it. Crying and screaming............no way to console him. Finally I had JIm to take him outside and we ended up eating in the car. I didn't even look around to see if people were looking though I am sure they were. He likely was just in sensory overload and couldn't take it. I didn't mind eating in the car. At least, our a/c works!!

It's a beautiful day, we took a walk to a coffee shop, did some errands and now we're home. He's smoking a pork butt in the back and I'm in the kitchen, canning tomatillo salsa for the winter.

I've been faking a good mood all day and I wonder when it's going to break...

I have to LOL at the smoking a pork butt in the back because I have been trying to cut down on the number of cigarettes I smoke by holding the smoked butt in my mouth. hehe.
