Finally got put on meds. 0.5mg of Klonopin (Clonazepam). Has anyone got experience with it? What should I expect? Pdoc says it's a prn so I should keep my little baggy with me at all times. I don't think I need it tonight so... And because she wants to make sure I don't OD she only gave me 3 pills that were cut into quarters cos our pharmacy didn't have the required dosage. I've been reading about side effects and such and I'm really hoping to avoid them. It'd be nice to find something that works on the first go.

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

I took it only when anxiety was getting the best of me .
It did tend to make me sleepy, so I advise getting to know how you react to it, before you use Heavy Equipment or drive
:)
Check with your Pharmacist first, to see if Klonopin and antihistamine are in conflict with each other
I hope you like it
It's a benzo, it's addictive not recommended in the UK for more than 2 weeks use.
There are issues with long term use.
Without being on a proper BP med it's likely you are going to need to go beyond the recommended dose which will make things alot worse because as said, it's properly addictive.
Can you not find another doctor?
If you are borderline it's best to get DBT and work that.
If you are bipolar then you need to get on meds.
If you are both then it's both.
I can't see how giving something highly addictive that many celebrities have o/d on is a good option if you a borderline (attention seeking may go to far) or for an unmedicated bipolar.
Meds are not a second option in the case of bipolar and I thought that was universally accepted - UK psychiatry is less pill happy (e.g CBT is the first offer for depresion) but even here it's lithium, valproate or lamotrigine and no messing about.
If you can have a conversation with another doctor it might be good.
