Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Big hug.... I know that it's hard when you're going through this stage... You will find the right meds for you though.....xo
Now matter what you're taking, I'd say 6 months is a good enough length of time to invest in seeing if it's doing the job for you.
It's not.
Discuss with your doctor what troubling symptoms you're still experiencing, which of the meds you're on you had hoped would help with them, consider other meds which might work better instead and also discuss up front how long you want to give a new cocktail a try before you decide it's right for you.
Some meds I am willing to stay on for 6th months if I think they're doing at least okay by me.
But usually when my Pdoc puts me on new pills, he sees me in 2 months rather than the usual 3 months and if I am unhappy with how I feel in 2 months, we decide on another change right then and there.
If I'm okay with how it's going, he usually sees me in another two months.
If I'm thrilled with how I feel, he'll have me come back in 3 months.
Good luck!! I think you've given it enough of a shot!!!
It's time for you to feel better!!!
