What's this Resort Bipolar Treatment?

I think after 14 years stable I've deteriorated significantly this last year. Suffered another major life event. So much so that I fit the criteria but so far have avoided hospitalization. It looks traumatic. Im ruining my perfect life. Does anyone have experience with fancy inpatient bipolar treatment centers? Like Bayside Marin? Instead of the local hospital. My pdoc is in his 80's now and doesnt seem to listen or react to my ongoing needs. Medication doesnt seem to work enough and Ive exhausted other coping methods. I have tons of insurance though.

Well if you look it up, its primarily an Addiction, Alcohol treatment program that will work with Dual Diaganosis patients. Many of their Yelp reviews aren't they great. I'd do some major Research before I checked myself into the place.

Have you considered just getting a new Pdoc?

sorry you're struggling. 14 years is a pretty amazing accomplishment.

i assume you're in the states. can you look into private hospitals? i'm canadian, so don't know much about them, but i have heard they are day-and-night compared to the public hospitals.

Robert what city/St are you closest to that has a large University system?

UCSF helped me a lot it is just feels big. But I received great care there. Also Stanford I heard was a good place to get help. I’m just guessing you live in or around Marin in California

I have been doing great for years and got bad fast after dropping the alcohol and moving home. I almost admitted
Myself twice. I was lucky enough to get a psych ammointment through the county. I’m very curious about inpatient.

Your not answering anyone, so I'm also assuming your in Cali. The best bet for a Hospital with a good Psychiatric Ward/Program is one attached to a University, they tend to have the best programs and staffs. You might try one close to you.

I've used UNC-Chapel Hill (University of NC) here in NC for the last 21 years for my Psychiatric needs and had wonderful experiences. I've done 4 InPatient stays there as well as a 3 month stay for ECT, which I completed OutPatient. Great Staff, Pdocs, Tdocs, Nurses, Techs...nothing to complain about. My current Pdoc is from the University.

I hope you find somewhere to get the help you need soon.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
