Hope all is well.
If I'm feeling irritable, extremely energetic, or if my skin is just crawling, I find vigorous exercise helps. Short, or long, brisk walks, aerobics, weights, any kind of exercise you might like may be helpful. Therapists have recommended getting a punching bag for anger management. If you're at work and only have a minute, try jumping jacks if you like them.
If you can't take the time for any of that, how about trying just to clinch your fists, as though you have the irritability in your hands and are restraining it.
If I'm low, I try to think positively, but when that doesn't work, I find happy music helps, the kind with a good beat and a good message.
I like your idea of praying, too. If anything good can come out of being bp, it's the chance to get closer to God.
Hope this helps.
My quick fix runner-up is pretty much any movie that features Mark Wahlberg with his shirt off...
If youre talking about energizing, things mentioned here - upbeat music and driving - make sense. If Im in a bad mood, the Rolling Stones cure my anger with Satisfaction in the car stereo.
whatever works.
I'd drink myself silly if I thought it was worth risking the bit of stability that I have.
the best thing on this planet. it's not bad at all. awesome. 8]
Any thing more or even less I push myself to go outside, and then walk, and then look up and try to smile (even if it's hard)
Thinking of things I'm thankful for. Some times it starts out real slow but it end up helping.
Once I have pushed through I stay away from the thoughts that are heavy.
Another one is my dogs I start talking to them and then let them distract me with their wants.
