What Does a New Dx Code Mean...?

At the end of every session my t/pdoc writes my dx code at the bottom of my card (the one I take to billing so it can be added to my receipt). What does it mean when they write a completely different dx code on your card or in your files? Does it mean that you're not currently exhibiting symptoms of your previous dx but symptoms of something else? Does it mean you have a new disorder? I didn't check the card til after I'd left so I couldn't ask my tdoc.

It's hard to say. The codes have changed a lot this year so she may have had to change it for that reason. I would ask her next time you see her.

If you are insured by Medicare or Medicaide , after each session a Pdoc is required to list a code as to your current status.

I would ask if you have questions .

After my sessions I get a printout and currently my code indicates that I am BP I in partial remission.

If you noticed a different code than what you have seen before, deff ask your Pdoc about what it means

Also, it could just have to do with Billing issues

Yeah, could be something with billing and medical claim processing.

Probably billing. Ask your doctor what the code means. She/ he will tell you - they may have to.
