Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

i took an online health management quiz for how well one is managing their bipolar. it said i was managing medium on a low(poor management) medium high (good management) scale which i thought was pretty accurate, but more interesting to me was the "how to manage bipolar" quote in the summary report which says "In general, the outlook with the right treatment is good, says Melvin McInnis, M.D., who treats and studies bipolar disorder in Ann Arbor, Mich. But, some symptoms may remain even after treatment. For many people with bipolar disorder, a realistic goal is to be 80 percent well 80 percent of the time, Dr. McInnis says."
what do you think of 80% well 80% of the time ... i assume well means stable or at least stable-ish

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

80% Stablish ?
I usually call it
"Sorta Kinda Stable"
I may revise that to 70% since Winter is coming, and that's when I do a depressive cycle
The 80/80 is great too, for anyone. No one feels "well" all the time.
I'm like dd - winter comes, out comes my light box, and my bed becomes my best friend. I don't handle my depression very well. My pdoc tries to add meds and sometimes I just feel overwhelmed by how many pills I'm taking.
