Talk about multitasking? It's one hell of a trick, but we are all doing it - simultaneously!
In this asylum it's OK for the inmates to run the place!
All seriousness aside - statistically speaking, at any given moment, 50% of us are manic, 50% of us are depressed, and the remaining 50% are somewhere in-between.
Come here whenever you're down, and someone will help pick you up. Come here when you're up, and help pick up someone who's down. And, if you're somewhere in-between, feel free to point and laugh at all of us others. (A word of warning - to laugh at us is to laugh at yourself).

OT - in the subject line = "Off Topic" - this post isn't really on the subject of bp, but they have something to share or ask in the forum.
"beeper" - we here are bipolar, or "Beepers"
"Trigger" in the subject line = this post contains something that may 'trigger' an unhealthy emotion, and should be viewed only if you're in a proper emotional state. In other words, "caveat emptor", or "read at your own risk"

TD=Tardive Dyskenesia
Major difference here between BP & BPD
BP=Bipolar
BPD=Borderline Personality Disorder
BAD = bipolar affective disorder
SAD = seasonal affective disorder - Coincidence?
"bump" every time someone replies to a topic, it gets 'bumped' to the top of the list.
RX = script = prescription
DX diagnosis
BP I , or BP II...the 2 major distinctions of BP disorder.
BPI , having manic episodes and possible pyschosis
BP II having major depression with hypomanic episodes ( can be dysphoric /agitated or ansy...Eurphoric / happy )
Example (not me):
"I am a beeper who has been DXed as BP I , I have hypomanic dysphoric episode , I haven't had a psychotic episode in several years , I cycle about 4 times a year, I am RXed Depakote as a mood stablizer, I've been seeing the same Pdoc for 8 years, I do not see a Tdoc."
AD = antidepressant
AP = anti-psychotic
GP = General practitioner
