Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I'd like this either closed or dedicated as a **GENERAL "Tips for Not Self Harming When You Want to In the Moment" thread, not about me.
I'm glad you worked through that Voltaire. You are a smart girl and I see you making progress all the time.
I hope the sadness passes for you soon. Try to remember, the bad thoughts WILL pass. We just have to hang on until then.
Love.
It's just a real pain in the ass for someone who's already depressed, lol.
Lilly and Irish, I've become quite good friends with you two in particular over the years, and I'm so glad we're friends.~ Stay strong, Irish, you're doing great.
MaryBeth- Thank you. I might give it a whirl at some point.
Tommy- I apologize for sounding cold towards you. I'm bad with showing gratefulness and emotion at all when I'm in that kind of mindset.
Old- If getting very few responses bothered me, I'd have left here my first week, lol. I think I'm notorious for that around here because I'm verbose and also a pain in the ass. Take me as I come.
Also the other boards are slow as hellllll and SI (self-injury) is common with bipolar disorder and similar conditions, so while I introduced it with a crisis-y tone, I asked for the "Let's just talk about coping mechanisms as a whole" conversion of my thread because I thought someone else could commandeer this whole operation after I no longer needed immediate intervention, and that it might could help out some other person.
I dunno. I guess that's why I said that, anyways. I'm not ever really sure why my alters say the things that they do.
