Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Dr. Chapman wrote this book called The Five Love Languages that says in a marriage sometimes our love tanks get empty and we want to have that in love feeling. Where, if we took a step back and realized that all we had to do was try to fill our spouses love language and they caught on and filled ours, that we can fall back in love with our spouse. Read his book before you persue and yes, definitely give him up. He is just filling up your love tank that your spouse very well can do if you give it a try.
And, you also may be experiencing low dosage of mania. Watch that! Good luck, B
1. You should talk to your partner about your feelings and emotions on this subject.
2. You should not cheat on him.
3. You should stop seeing your patient professionally.
4. Seriously evaluate where these feelings are coming from....true emotion or chemical.
I also agree that you can blame the urge on bipolar disorder but any choice you make, any behavior that stems from the urge is ultimately your responsibility. You cannot say later.........."Oh, I am bipolar so I messed up". If you mess up it is because you are selfish and dont care what the consequences are. Blessings on this journey, many lessons will be learned from it. Hugs
