Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

So, group therapy has never been a thing I have been a fan of. Going into a room, with these people you don't know, and who knows how far you have to drive or be driven to get there, and everybody can stare at you, etc.... But with zoom it is completely different. No weird smells, you can shut your camera off, no commute, and you can leave the meeting anytime you want. Completely different experience. Been depressed, and I can feel it trying to tug me down. So I actively started looking for support, like this group. Back to zoom meetings, I have attended 4 of them! Made a commitment. Every single time I have wanted to cancel and not go, right up to the meeting. But I have kept and attended 4 out of 5. The one I didn't make I canceled the day beforehand. These meetings are turning out to be helpful for me. Determined to stick with them. So to anyone that has been reserved about trying virtual group meetings, maybe think about trying one out.

Today mom and I are taking Moo and Copper to the vet for vaccines. I'm watching a movie having coffee while copper snoozes in between my knees. What does Thursday look like for you?

https://www.heypeers.com - some meetings are free. Some are low-cost.
With most support groups being online right now, things definitely fill up fast. I found that with the few places I mentioned one has to register for a meeting about a week or so out. Of course then actually staying committed and going to the meeting can be tough. Hopefully with things starting to open back up again, virtual meetings may become less packed. Maybe.
