Beer makes me more hyper, especially stella artois and gives me a bad hangover. Red wine makes me horny, so does vodka.

I decided to stop drinking during the horrible depression I just came out of. My dr. was going to suggest that if I hadn't already. Just when you need a drink the most, huh? We'll see how long it lasts...

alcohol is alcohol. they probably aren't reacting to the alcohol - but the sugar content of their beverages.
beer has a high level of sugar- thus his body puts him in something close to a "food coma" when he drinks it. tell him to stop drinking american type lagers and go for a european ale instead.

This is an urban myth that different drinks have different kinds of alcohol. Talk to AA, it's all the same thing basically.

Yeah I react differently to different drinks,always have.Wine relaxes me,beer gives me a nice mellow buzz,vodka makes me c wild,whiskey look out.

it all is the same to me. and i'll drink it all too. except beer. never really liked that. wish i did though. it's much cheeper than a long island ice tea.

mixed drinks and im fine...give me shots and i get really drunk really fast and i tend to get really mean. Especially on brandy or vodka shots. I am now off it for life...im done drinking ever.

been sober for over a year now. but, when i did drink i mostly just drank til i blacked out. i was mostly a happy drunk. although there was one nasty little beverage that made me violently angry every time - Gin. i told my mom this after I got sober and she said it did the same thing to her before she got sober and my grandfather was the same way w/ gin.
but, now i've been sober for just over 15 months and i plan on staying that way.

They all make me insane.

I KNOW that alcohol of any kind totally messes with my meds and throws me off kilter. However, tonight, after being alcohol free for months, I am drinking white wine. My frickin teeth hurt, head hurts and jaw hurts from having braces put on today for TMJ and other structural problems. Now I need some pain relief so for tonight it is white wine which will eventually help me sleep. After that I buck up and get back on track. Hugs
