I'm not here a lot anymore which you may've noticed (doubt it loooooool I'm terrible at jokes). I don't really feel bad about hiatus-ing with no explanation, that's not why I'm writing this, it's for all of you who feel ignored and offended on a personal level that you pour out your woes and soul into a text post and get little response.
I am only speaking for myself, but I backed way off for a few reasons. I'm an all-or-nothing sort of person, if I invest myself into helping someone I get emotionally involved and- I mean, perhaps more than a person should. But I've never been any other way.
And I don't like playing the "favorites" game, I see so many posts here that resonate with me on a very deep level, it's hard for me to be vulnerable to everyone, let alone even just a couple people at a time, because of the walls I have up. But I refuse to be selective in the quality of my advice or comfort, or the humor I share, going back to the "all or nothing" point I was trying to make, and so this place becomes quite overwhelming, >.< On top of feeling like an outsider, that I'm breaking some sort of rule, or "set" of rules I don't really know exists. Plus when you analyze a problem and carefully construct a lengthy comment going out of your way to give advice and it's not really recognized as a labor of love (which it is, however seemingly significant or not) coming from an empathetic place, it hurts, y'know? It's disappointing. Maybe that's selfish, I dunno.
I'd give some contact info but I truly don't think anyone needs me in particular out of the hundreds of board members, so I'll just quietly decline. Don't reply to this please, just know. (WOW that sounded rude I'm just awkward today, I promise) I'll still be on sometimes.

You are right. Nobody cares and it hurts. I'm an all or nothing person as well- and so are many people, especially here. But it's a bloody internet- if you can't be bothered you just don't reply, as sometimes it takes a lot of work- nothing personal.
Please stick around, it's nothing personal. I got banned a few times for being too involved, ha, ha.
It helps in the long run to be around similar minded disfunctional freaks. Hugs.

It does make a difference at how you look at things when you see the "gray area" instead of black & white. It prevents a lot of heartache.
