More freaking great news..
My husband's unemployment benefits have been appealed by a company (Thomas and Thorngren) working for his late employer.
They sent one letter saying if he did not return from leave by may 24 then he would be terminated. Then on the separation notice it just said his leave expired. Now they are saying the claim is not valid because he voluntarily quit by not showing back up at work. We have the dr's note saying he could not return back to work at that time.
THIS is ridiculous. He was out because of depression and panic attacks. I can't believe something else is happening.
I am so mad, I'm ready to go postal!! I posted this on an unemployment board hoping for advice. I just don't know what to do...we don't have the money to pay back what they've given us...it all went to bills and there is nothing left..nothing....he has a job but it won't start until the end of nov.

it is wrong, and i'm sorry this happened to you guys.
Advocate for yourself on the unemployment. Do this first, so you will have some income. Then you could contact the Dept. of Labor and gather information on how to proceed concerning the discharge.
