tremor and benadryl

anyone know what the usual dose for benadryl for a tremor all rhe antipsychotics over years have just about destroyed my hands and now lamictal for years i have a hard time doing crafts especially painting any help apreciated

Why are you using Benadryl for this??…. Have you talked to your pdoc about a specific med for side effects for antipsychotics like Cogentin??

I googled, and Benadryl is used for Parkinson's tremors. Said nothing about any other type of tremors though.

i cannot take cogentin gives me gross tremors doc suggested benadryl which is also used for mild parkinson i will ask doc i take it anyway and it does work but it comes back and i have to take it again i do not want to take too much i take it for the itch and sometimes to try and sleep thanks for the m,input

Hello bywena ~ Benadryl causes restless legs and spasms in my legs. I take Cogentin and it stops it. Lamictal, which I am taking now, I am having lots of difficulty with my hands. Last week dropped a whole tub of yogurt on the floor. However, I am in the process of titrating up slowly. Once I get used to the dose, it seems to go away, to a degree. When I was waiting for Cogentin to arrive via mail order, I used Benadryl and I coul dnot stay asleep due to the painful leg cramps and leg movements.

Novembergirl1950 the tremor getsn better with benadryl and also the clumsiness i am used to lanictal been on it for years but it still makes me drop things etc how much benadryl did you take

Hey girl, have you ever tried Requip (Ropinirole) its used for tremors, mild Parkinsons, RLS and some other things.

Its' also a dopaminergic agent and it has some of the same effects as dopamine, so it might help with some of your Hypomanic symptoms.

Just a thought to talk to your Pdoc about....

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
