I'm transitioning from Effexor to Paxil. So I'm not on any therapeutic dose of either. I'm really down and out right now. Any support would be great. Thanks in advance.

Good luck coming off the effexor! Can take a while to get over withdrawal effects! Best wishes to you! x

I dropped down to 225 from 300 with no problem. Didnt have to taper over a few days. I'm down n out too but my mind has gone in survival/coverup mode. Act like nothings wrong all the while everything is so wrong.

I've taken Effexor and Paxil in the past. I didn't have any problem coming off either. Paxil wasn't strong enough. I'm surprised it works for anyone. I think Effexor is better. Of course we all react differently to all of it. What have you done to lift your mood?

Paxil worked better for me than Effexor. I've been taking Paxil for years with great success.

Unfortunately I can't seem to get out of this funk. I'm back and forth between DS and wrapping xmas gifts. I'm not in any type of xmas spirit but gotta do it.

I leave tomorrow for Maine and I haven't even finished wrapping. See how much I'm into it?

Have you tried listening to some happy music? Sing along with the tunes. Dance around. Put a bow on your head. Call a friend. Don't worry about wrapping the gifts. Take them unwrapped and get someone to help ya wrap them when you get to Maine. Need more tips??

Nah, I've managed to get it done. I wasn't happy about it though. Half assed job, but the kids just rip em' open anyway. I feel so bad for my kids that I'm not into xmas. I'm sure it doesn't heighten the excitement for them.

Thankyou for a real topic I liked effexor and want to go back on it. I was swhiched to depokote and that stuff is a zombie maker. Kills anxiety good for me.

Hanna...ask your Pdoc about Paxil..it is known o cause sling shot reactions to phycotic depressions when doses are lowerd.
Most of the research I've done ,says Paxil isn't alays the best for BP..unless MAJOR SUICIDAL indentation bothers you.
Please look up this med on Drug Library Digest or Ask a Patient.com
Google Paxil,and CAREFULLY read the precautions.
