My tdoc has discharged me- that is to say I didn't have to schedule another appt. He thinks I'm doing well enough that I don't need regular appts- I should only come in if I feel I need to . My GAF was 70. I feel great, stable if you will. But at the same time I'm torn between feeling happy about this and being worried about relapsing. This is the first time in years I've been this stable and I keep thinking that when I relapse it's gonna be worse than before. Tdoc doesn't think I should go on meds yet because he feels it's important that I associate my stability now with ME rather than drugs so I don't end up feeling dependent on them. He has informed me of an excellent pdoc I can see when I'm ready. I just don't want this to ever end though I know at some point it will.

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

Don't accept medical advice from a therapist.
The therapist seems to have forgotten (if they ever knew) that bipolar disorders can be fine after stopping med (and I think you had to)..but often months later it comes back worse than before.
If it's cyclothemia then it's possibly a grey area about medication but that is a discussion for you and your psychiatrist.
Bipolar is not a matter of "willing to be better". It's brain chemicals and no one can control them. Only meds can.
Please be careful of this guy.....and talk to you pdoc before doing anything.
