Don't really know...guess you can't change being that way. I can be mean and vindictive to people who cross me. But children and animals...I will cry a river. I guess because they are innocent and n. eed our care and protection. We got some chicks last march and now they are full grown. My hb bought some more hens ....one ended up being sick and he had to put it out of its misery. Which I hated. Well he doesn't have my intuition and common sense when it comes to caring for our pets. He opened the area up so the new and old chickens would have contact. Now we have rwo sick hens and I'm afraid for the rest (7 all together) my heart is broke necause they are lethargic and sneezing and gurgling. I have parrots inside so i don't go out there and just let my hb deal eith them outside so it won't spread...i wish i could be unfeeling sometimes and turn it off but i can't. I care too much about everything and everyone. I need to kerp myself together...all these ppl here think I'm crazy for caring so much for chickens. What do u do...just bare the pain ans try to hope for the best?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

sadly, it sounds like the whole coop is infected. maybe call a vet tomorrow and see if there's antibiotics that may help. quite possibly, it is a treatable disease.
i'm sorry for all your loss. :(
Have you tried giving the chickens a little bit of brandy? Folk cure & a long shot but 2 people I know recently tried this for ailing chickens and bizarrely it seemed to work. I don't know. I'm sorry you're hurting though xx
I hope that they'll heal..
Big hug for you sweetie..xo
