I am concerned that AP's might disrupt the flow between myself and the natural wold.

I need to hear others experiences Please!! This is very important to me!!

I felt just as connected on abilify. If anything more oneness.

I feel much more connected now while on meds than when I was untreated. My mind was simply to chaotic to be able to feel a part of anything.

My first round made me somewhat apathetic, but what I'm on now - Seroquel XR and Wellbutrin XL - works really well at keeping me right where I want to be. I hope you find that as well.

I have been weaning off my meds after finding out it's PTSD and not BP (hope you don't mind me still being on here). I feel more serious and more connected to things. But I may be in a different boat than you. And, I was on a holy shitload of drugs too, that probably had something to do with it.

I'm not Wiccan so I can't address that aspect, but I've taken a few APs, Abilify, Trilafon, Respirdone & Seroquel.

But having been on APs I think the big thing with feeling dulled is the dosage. If you start to feel dulled, you can always talk to your doc about tweaking it. I also agree the Abilify is a much mellower AP than some of the heavier ones like Risperdone (man that knocked me out!). Seroquel made me drool (nice!) and some people here have had bad experiences on it.

I've heard Geodon is good but it's expensive- I think it's newer.

Also Abilify has antidepressant properties (and can lead to anxiety) and in general is less sedating than other APs.

I personally do not have any major changes -

of course some meds do others different, take that formula, add those numbers to you "Really" don't want to be take meds...

Odds are against your going to get a satisfactory answer : )

Trial and error, if the med sucks - tell pdoc and get another one! If it doesn't work, you DID learn something...... you don't want to take that one AGAIN

I do feel that AP have lessened my ability to "Feel" the natural and super natural flow around me

I don't feel a disconnect either but agree that it might be dosage related .. I did feel a lot more 'wasted' from them when I first started taking AP's but it settled down after a bit...x
