Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
He is the doctor, but this is my body. What we do or don't do is ultimately up to me. He can educated me or make suggestions but I haven't met one yet that was smart enough to make my decisions.
Not trying to be argumentative but - One of God's many names is "The Great Physician".
But since I know that he would never risk his license by knowingly doing me harm, and I also know that the consequences of NOT following his suggestions could be harmful or fatal to me (i.e. I am free to choose to not follow his instructions regarding my medications and commit suicide as a result) but it would have been MY decision to not follow his prescribed regimen, and no fault of my doctor at all. You pay him to be a PROFESSIONAL adviser.
If having a doctor you can't 'get along' with, or treats you as anything other than the human being that you are, he is not only your doctor, he is your EMPLOYEE. I sign his paycheck every visit. If I have a PERSONAL issue with him, I can find another I get along better with, hire Doc v2.0, and fire Doc v1.0.
one i was on for years that i liked was a friend that told me about it
then i tried another couple from them that were also no good then i asked for the one i'm on now and i like it
i don't want to waste years on things that i feel are not helping me
and i don't want to walk around like a zombie or feeling doped up
i'm the most stable i've been in years
and notice why is it they say try this or try that it's because they also don't know what will work for each person
i agree with magic kingdom
