I woke up early this morning thinking about death. Not about committing suicide, but just death in general. Things like, "How will I die?", "Will anyone come to my funeral?", "Will anyone even miss me?".
I was manic just a few days ago, and it is usually followed quickly by depression. Are these dark thoughts the beginning of it? I don't know. I have continued to think about death thruout the day. This afternoon I was trying to figure out who I would leave things to. These thoughts make no sense because I'm not thinking about suicide at this moment.
Please give me your thoughts on this. It is scaring me to death (bad pun, I know!).

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

If you do find yourself thinking about death and obsessing, I'd call the Pdoc.
I've been obsessing most of the day over these dark thoughts. They have been in the back of my mind. This is out of the ordinary for me unless I'm headed for a deep depressive episode. I just want them to stop. I've tried distraction but they are still there.
I'm more curious about what other thoughts you have designated as dark. Those are the ones that are less common (in general terms) and may indeed be something you need to deal with.
