Kisses this isn't high school and your not a kid anymore. It's not about who likes you or who doesn't. This is your job, what pays you money so you can pay your bills. Take a book to read during the downtime, play silly games or brain exercising games on your phone. At work you have to be an adult, and it's just not about who likes you.

the only other thing is to find a job doing something you enjoy, and then you can quit that job, but you have to have a new job first.

((((Hugs))))) kisses. Don’t worry about all that....that’s such a tiny part of the Why we work. You can be cordial with coworkers but not get involved in small talk. I like the suggestion of bringing a book during downtime. Or what about a crocheting project?

See I’m afraid to bring a book or crochet because then it looks like I’m not doing anything. My boss was giving a tour last week and was appalled to walk out of the ekavator to find staff just sitting around in the sitting area for residents. But all of our work was done, residents attended to. There was nothing to do. It’s a dilemma for sure
