The air conditioning in the library is cranked up. By the time I leave here I am shivering, and then walk out into a furnace blast of heat. I think this has contributed to me being sick. I spend 4-5-6 hours a day at the library and then go out to spend the hottest part of the day in the heat. I have to do it this way so I can get a spot where I can plug my laptop in. I have to be here when they open and can only sit for so many hours here. It really sucks. But at least the library is available and for that I am grateful. I hope I get well soon.

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

My last time was in Washington State, which I know is different, but if you can Stand to be around people somewhat, could you afford to take the public bus around the city sometimes? It's usually cool in the bus, and if you can get a seat by yourself it's not so bad...
How are you eating? I ate lunches weekdays at the Salvation Army building, which was air conditioned (and I imagine they would be, Everywhere) - it was free and where I was, we were usually allowed to show up as much as an Hour before meals were served.
I know that also means "people" but I was thinking of your being Cool, as much as possible.

DoorMAwss, has some great tips .
Can you escape a little with the books in the library? At least for a few hours a day...does that help at all?
Door has some great ideas...The Salvation Army could help you right now in many ways. I wonder if you could email your nearest branch and find out what they may be able to offer you.
Hugs!!
Libraries were good too but that was before computers so I would study the history of the horse races going back through the years of copies of the local newspaper on microfiche. At least until I fell asleep and my snoring would get me sheepishly headed to the exit.
It's strange that they have emergency shelters for extreme winter weather and not for extreme summer heat, which is just as life threatening imo.
Heretic, I often wonder what has a hold on you that forces you to feel you have no option but to remain in this hellish environment. Do you have any plans to head further westward? Eastward? Northward?
Count myself among the many who wish you strength and wellness to be the cause to bring change for the better in your life.
