Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Someone who failed to do any research that would have answered his question "there is absolutely no evidence for any mental illness comes from a chemical imbalence or a faulty gene".
The answer is - there's plenty. Even if you just confine yourself to bipolar then you have all the mega studies that compare the incidence of bipolar in identical twins to non identical twins. The incidence in identical twins for both having bipolar is 70%. For non identical twins it's only 27%. It follows that bipolar is heavily genetic.
There have then been a number of studies that have started to identify gene diferences in people with bipolar and non bipolar. And then a subset of those people who are bipolar and lithium sensitive and those for whom lithium does nothing.
Um, I have seen this guy talk about this for Several years now....iam, I believe he is Right in principle, but we must be Careful to "go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons...." (that's the beginning of Desiderata).
I happen to be bipolar 1; and an empath; and I was Awakened 27 years ago but I didn't know what that Meant 'til recently... I still see my psychiatrist and take my meds faithfully, because I understand that while I may be enlightened I am STILL bipolar, and subject to the chemical imbalance in my brain.
Lol, so I know where this came from, and I know it is important to "not frighten people with ideas that are Too wild"...does that make sense?
We are all Where We Are, at any moment, and have to Find where we are going in our own way.
Preferably with MEDS. lol :)

unfortunately the paradigm is still newtonian, though i eagerly await the psychiatric version of `E=Mc2' to lay waste to what we think we know.
