I'm having to switch therapist for two reasons one because my last one made me feel soooo bad about myself it wasn't helping, and second because I can't afford it anymore. I really hate talking to new therapist my anxiety gets way worse. Any tips on how to calm my anxiety even with my medication doesn't seem like enough.
thanks, Kayla x

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

I struggle with anxiety. Some of the different things that have helped me are breathing techniques, yoga, a warm bath and general self-care practices. Getting a good nights sleep, keeping caffeine to a manageable level, keeping healthy boundaries from stressful relationships or people that are in your life.
Hope the rest of the weekend is relaxing for you!
– taking a deep breath in and then when I breathe out I say the word "let go" and then "limp" as I scan my body from head to toe and relax all my muscles that feel tense so I feel completely relaxed and sinking into the mattress. I do this lying down.
– I also find floating in a warm pool very relaxing especially if it's outside, like a hot spring pool. But of course, we can't do that every day. I am hoping to get a therapy pool and put it in the garage this summer or next summer.
