I'm not sure how it is the world over but herein Ja Sunday is when you do the big cooking. Usually fried chicken, rice and peas, vegetable in some delish form and a strong healthy drink. And you make enough to serve til Monday or as we call it -Sunday-Monday. Apparently there is nothing better than overnight rice and peas.
What are your plans for today? What's cooking, good lookings? I'm making curried chicken and white rice. Might do steamed veg or a veggie salad. Who was it who wanted some of my curry? Come on over.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

It's the first day of many that we're using the grill outdoors to cook!
Ice cream and cheesecake ... My two favourite food groups...lol
Have a GOOD time tonight ladies and gents. I'm so happy that you're HAPPY ! ARGH :(
We always did that at home (because I live in tha SOW-th, haha) - big mid-day Sunday meal, then Nothing for the evening meal. (everyone too full)
Here in my neck of the woods, the Big meal is called "dinner"; many days you don't Have a 'big meal' so it's just lunch or supper. Doesn't matter which meal, if it's Big it's Dinner. (Northerners get confused about those terms, but they also make fun of it, so it balances out) :D
I remember some folks laughing at a conversation I had w/a girlfriend after we went out to a restaurant one evening: We were parting ways outside and she said "Wait - was that dinner or supper?" I had to remind her, "No, it's only Supper if you had Dinner for Lunch."
:P
I've been cleaning, Had a long talk on the phone with an old friend, and watched the most depressing movie with my mom. The only upside to it was Mark Ruffalo played in it!
@Reds, I have had so many cereal dinners it's hilarious. Ice cream is also a good dinner. With tears and a soft blanket. Whatcha watching?
