Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Lately, I have really been hit with not being able to feel fulfilled in my life. This has bled over into most aspects of life right now. I am sure the pandemic has contributed a lot to this, as well as some hard choices I had to make with school and work, but justifying those decisions doesn't make the feeling of loneliness and worthlessness go away. As much as school stressed me out, it gave me a reason to be happy sometimes and to get out of bed. As much as I said work made me feel like I was stuck, it gave me a reason to get up in the morning. So many people in my life have just told me to meet people, maybe wind up in a relationship, and everything will slowly get better and my self esteem will go up and my energy will go up and I will be living alright. Something is blocking me from feeling like people want to be around me. I feel like I never offer much, I get socially drained easily, and I am always an option and never a priority in people's lives. I don't really know how to get over this. I am sure I will talk about this with my therapist next week, but right now, I really feel down and out and get emotional over these things easily. Thanks for reading my meaningless rant. I dont expect anyone to relate. It just helps to get it out there.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I understand relationships feeling exhausting. I def understand feeling like you are not a priority in peoples lives. I actually just wrote a journal about how frustrating it is to be in one sided friendships, where you care deeply about the other person, and they can't even be bothered to send you a txt.
Hang in there. Things will get better. For both of us.
We just can't do the things that we want to do and when you listen or watch the news I find it draining at times
A lot of people are in depressions right now sweetie... If you're feeling too low you should call your pdoc and let him/her know your feelings
It's great that you're working with a therapist as well...... Big hug......xo
Yes it's all been difficult to manage esp the finding meaning and purpose part.
Recovery is a process and it takes a lot of time and self-love while one endures.
Be gentle with yourself, and it's great you have a therapist on board while you negotiate all of these ups and downs and tight curves...
I certainly haven't been a priority in people's lives especially my family. I was always on the back burner.
Big hugs.
