Hello Everyone,
my name is Lillian and at a young age I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. As of March 17, 2021 I lost my father to stage 4 lung cancer and since then my family has become very abusive to me. My brother physically harmed me last month by grabbing my arm and putting his hand around my neck. I filed a police report and now because i did just that. My mother has filed papers to put me out of her house. A house which I have thought of as my safe place all my life until these past three years. I struggle everyday to be a better person and just be myself and just by being myself I am told I am using drugs, or that your pills aren't working, called names and threatened. Three years ago July they took my housing from me because I couldn't find anywhere to rent to me because of income limits etc.. I do not dare take my kids to a shelter because they have been through enough but I feel as if they are going through so much as of right now but I feel trapped.

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo

I am puzzled as to cause and effect of their sudden wheeling on you as an enemy. A physical attack that is unprovoked is bad. Your mothers appeal to the court is also bewildering as an unprovoked action, especially since it apparently also involves your children.
If they are doing this just be ugly out of the blue, then you're better off (it would seem) being away from a physical and emotional chamber of horrors. No doubt, your condition will not improve with this nor will any consistent medical care be available it seems.
Does SSI and Medicare/Medicaid not cover at least some of these basic needs?
I would ask your doctor to refer you to a social worker... Living like this would be awful and I can't imagine it would be a good atmosphere for children
Having your diagnosis thrown in your face and stigma all around would be a terrible way to live
A social worker can help you find somewhere to be that's safe and healthier for you and your kids..... That's a huge part of what they do
I'm glad that you found us.... This is a good place to come..... Big hug.... xo
