I'm stressed at a level that I haven't experienced in a long time. I don't really remember what caused it. I know everyone experiences stress differently. Mine is making my body feel almost numb. My brain has thoughts swirling or poking at it. It is an awful thing to deal with.
With this one I'm feeling a lot of guilt and fear. Guilt is probably to worst one to deal with. It just tears you apart mentally. You my feel guilty about something that isn't wrong or your fault but for some reason your brain wants you to feel this way.
This isn't the first time I've gone through this. I don't know how long this time will last. Right now I trying to be kind to myself and rest.

Hey All...I hope that you have a lovely, peaceful beginning of your weekI have a bunch of chores that need doing but may put them off til tomorrow and just hang out with my landlord/roomie todayWhat about you?...Anything special going on?Have a great day and take good care of you!!..Xo
I've been feeling super stressed as well. I've been struggling at school and it makes me want to stay in bed all day! I react to stress similarly to you, as in, I feel a tremendous amount of guilt (Like I'm letting my parents down or something). I find that my stress comes from my perfectionism, as I put a lot of pressure on myself to do everything perfectly. But everyone has their own causes for stress. I hope you feel better!
I immediately start to focus on things around me...sights, sounds, smells; if I can walk barefoot on the grass or something, that helps too, of course.
If I can listen to music at the moment of stress, I have a set of calming songs cued up for me.
For me, focusing on sounds around me is the quickest way to bring myself out of it; you can find the thing that works best for you, then practice using that technique as often as you need.
HUGS - guilt is a mean obsessive thought and I have to fight that, too. ❤️
