So I am currently prescribed to lithium, lamictal, and risperdal for my bipolar. I am also currently on prozac and klonopin for my anxiety. This to me is a lot of medications to keep track of and manage. I was doing well and taking all of them as prescribed for a while. The problem was that it gets expensive even with insurance because of how many different meds there are. That is a side bar though. What ended up happening about a month ago is that I stopped taking the lithium, lamictal, and risperdal because frankly I felt they were not doing anything. Maybe I was expecting to feel great or "cured" but instead I pretty much felt nothing. I was doing ok but in the last week, I am getting hints and symptoms of an episode. Its hard to explain but I know I am going down that path. I don't know what to do because I did stop those meds. However, were they really working? I have a lot running through my head and I am getting more and more impulsive, doing riskier things, and I am going downhill fast. Do I start taking them again or what do I do? I am starting to regret stopping them.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Please talk to your doctor.
Don't just start taking them again.
Depending on this or that, doing so may not make things better.
You need to work with the Pdoc on how to try to get back on track.
I don't know if you're in the US, but if you are, you may be able to get help with paying for your meds.
Check out needymeds.org .
And http://coast2coastrx.com/ , too.
(If you go to coast2coastrx.com/ , don't be put off by the states listed on the first page if yours is not amongst them. Those are just the states that endorse the program. The card is good in all states.)
Also, be sure to tell your Pdoc that cost matters and ask if there's any samples to be had.
Good luck!!!
You're doing the right thing by addressing this NOW, before you DO get all the way to the end of the wrong path!!
