Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I recently started working four months ago and it has been difficult.I went back to work because my doctor told me that if I was waiting to feel better before starting to work then I would be waiting for a long time. Before I returned to work I didn't believe that I was capable but I have learnt that I am.
I still struggle with depression but it is better since I've started working.I feel as though I am at a disadvantage compared to others who don't suffer from my illness.I am still not completely independent because I live with my parents again and always have during my depressions.I'm not sure what I hope to accomplish by posting here but I just want to be able to connect with others who face the same challenges. This isn't an easy illness to deal with and I am afraid that my life will never be easy and that I will be unable to find happiness.I would appreciate greatly any comments and new friends.Thanks....Derek

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

It's wonderful that you have such a good and supportive family Derek
Not a lot of people see the 'off topic' posts so there may not be a lot of comments... You might be better to repost this under the 'general bipolar' category... Big hug

It's a scary and self-debilitating illness that has so many ups and downs. Sometimes I feel like I'm on top of the world, and then others I feel like I'm in a dark fiery pit of doom.
I try and tell myself that I can get to where I want to be in life regardless of the struggles that I have.
With the correct meds and some therapy we can all have GOOD lives and achieve our goals.
