Hmm. Well photography was my hobbie. However I sold my camera body. I do still have my Nikon lenses. I just have to get a new camera body. It's a tad pricy, the camera I want. So I will wait.
So what to do for a hobby in the mean time..hmm. Well I decided on rock tumbling....or rock polishing. I remember when I was a kid in our old neighborhood. We had a neighbor, accross the alley that was an older guy who tumbled rocks. I would search for rocks, and he would put them in his tumbler. After a month, I would get them back. Polished. It was kinda neat.
So, I checked prices for a rock tumbler and the grit needed to polish the rocks. I found a rock tumbler for $56 dollars on Amazon. The different stages of grit is $35. Not bad. I have Lake Michigan near by, where I can goto the Indiana Dunes lake front and pick rocks up. Since they were in the water for thousands of years, they are already kinda smooth. I think I will do this for my next hobby.
I can give the polished rocks to my mom and sister. It should be intersting.
What hobbies do you guys have? Or hobbies you want to start?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I crochet, sew, do jigsaw puzzles, scrapbook. I’m a creative soul :) like you I guess! Speaking of, I just ordered a book on amazon, Touched with Fire: Manic-Depressive Illness and the Artistic Temperament by Kay Redfield Jamison. I’m excited to read it
I used to search for and collect seaglass. That’s good exercise too.
I also do Luminosity, Mahjong and Sudoku for an hour everyday but I don't consider that a hobby it's more of a post-ECT brain therapy/brain workout to keep things sharp.
I like rock polishing. I would do that if I had a polisher.
I still have some interest in geology and gemology but my main hobbies are producing electronic music, growing various odd plants and insects.
Rocks are neato. I recently picked out a jasper stone pendant for a necklace from a cool indie shop from a neat gemologist. I love enjoying my life in the city, walking for a few miles and being immersed in so much diverse culture, but I also love nature and would really enjoy spending lil getaways more often reminiscing about nature walks and looking through telescopes with my eccentric, cool grandparents.
I'll have to look up the rock tumbling
I don't do an awful lot now.....sigh...… I used to do volunteer work always but I haven't even been doing that....
I really need to push myself..... You guys put me to shame...…. Making jewellery with the rocks would be cool
I will see if my dad can clear a space in the garage for me to run the tumbler in. Maybe today, or one day this week in the morning I will head to the beach and look for some rocks. The good thing about using beach rocks is that they are already smoothed a bit from being on the shores.
