after my blip last week(trying to swallow a bottle of pills) dr has me down to working only 16 hrs a week. I'm also starting outpatient again tomorrow and that will be six hours a day five days a week. So I'm not able to work as much as I need to in order to pay my bills. 



Do do you think it would be wise for me to apply for social security? I don't know. I am able to work minimal hours but with dealing with my mental health has to be a priority. I do t know what to do. I just need advice

Hmmm...SSI is for people with no work history and the benefits are rather low. I think you want to apply for SSD (disability) in which case contact a lawyer who specializes in it since it can be a lengthy process. With SSD benefits are back-dated to your application time. I hope that helps. Years ago I received SSD and it saved my life. I wish you success.

I worked and also received disability. However you can only work so many hours.

I was told by my attorney that you can work up to 19 hours per week and still claim to be unable to work. That is to get SSD, not sure about SSI. It took me 3 and a half years to receive benefits. It is a very long process and you have to expect to be turned down the first couple of times. Just keep fighting.

Yeah I meant SSD. I'm gonna play it by ear and see what happens. I have to talk to my supervisor tomorrow and see what's going on with my job. I appreciate your responses to my question

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
