Well today I am freaking out over the credit card bill. I pretty much live on the hypomanic side.....flight of ideas yadda yadda most of you know the drill.

I have an online webstore filled with things that I have made over the last year or two.....well the supplies for the things I make cost $$$$$. Usually money I do not have.......well I get these freaking ideas in my head and it all sounds GREAT to me.....so I buy things here and there(supplies) and I now I am in debt up to my eyeballs!!!

With Will's treatments, labs, doc visits, pdoc visits for both of us, my therapy and DBT we are screwed!!! I feel totally out of control and am totally freaking out!!!

I plan on TRYING to do some craft shows but there again you need money to pay to have a table set up.....I don't know I just need to vent a bit here as I am freaking out atm.

I'm trying to slow my mind down but that is extremely hard for me to do...I am worrying about everything and totally freaking here....sigh

I must add that crafting keeps me sane to some degree as well. I am on SSDI and try to attempt to make things to sell them to supplement our income.

I can create a Facebook page to help sell stuff which is atleast a FREE idea, except for my time!!!!

I just don't know what to do but keep making things and hoping for the best here......sigh

Not sure what to say about establishing your business,but don't beat yourself up for spending too much money.I used to go thru money like crazy when manic,most of it gifts for friends.Actually i've done some hideous things when manic and spending money is the least of them.

I am on SSDI and I had to get work done on my car and put new tires on it now I just barley have enough left for groceries. To bad money don't grow on trees.

Sorry you're so stressed tats... Starting a business always takes an investment... You're not just out blowing money you're trying to build up your business and I think it could be a really good one!!!

Maybe getting onto FB like you mentioned is a really good idea.. The more advertising you can do the better

All I can suggest is advertise, advertise, advertise. Ask the local craft store if you can put up fyers and offer a discount to their customers who order from your webstore. Flyers at the local library with your webstore website address and email - let them know you take custom orders. Also see if you can afford an ad in the local bridal magazine or parenting magazine. That's a great way to get exposure. Web traffic is great but make sure you are optimising your exposure and getting your name and business out there then you'll have more to spend on your crafting (I bought a knitting loom btw and *still* haven't worked out how to use it *sigh*).

Figure out how to scroll your products to the top of the etsy list, and if you can get enough hits to pop up on google when people enter those kinds of goods in the search engine.
Sadly, it takes money to make money, but also look into whether there's a grant for women entrepreneurs in your area through the local United Way or Chamber of Commerce.

As for the craft shows, see if you can split a table with someone to cut costs, and make sure you have business cards - they're cheap through some online printers, like vistaprint.

Once it comes together you'll be able to pay off those bills and advertise even more so hopefully you'll have sustainable income for crafting and other expenses.

Oh, also make sure there are flyers up in the student union - mother's day is fast approaching and you may drum up some business that way. And it's baby shower season too (hence the ads in the parenting magazine)

Thanks for the support and great advice.....I am working real hard on getting enough dog collars and Kozy Kuddlesacks made so I have a good inventory for these craft shows!!!

Take alot of time to make these items...the prep work is grueling but I am getting quite a bit done and pacing myself quite well today!

Bookmaven awesome advice...going to be working on a flyer tonight...I know how to make them because I took a computer class that taught me a bunch of stuff but flyers are one thing I remember!!! Thanks so much!!

I just got overhwhelmed this am with all this work ahead of me and me being the only one doing ALLLL of it!!! I can do this...I am doing this and I have what I need to make many nice, nice items!!

I won't beat myself up anymore since I am trying hard here and not wasting money like you all mentioned, I needed a kind reminder!! Thanks so much!!
