Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
But I don't think a lack of things to do is what you are talking about. Even if your classes started today, would you have the ability to focus on them? You can start now doing some research on the subjects of your classes, it will help you get some of your ability to focus back, BEFORE your classes actually start. Then when they do start you'll be better able to focus on them. Good Luck
I found that walking helps during these times...it releases a lot of energy and just makes me feel good afterward. Do you like walking? Other times, I will just get in my car and just drive. I don't have destinations sometimes. Driving was always a way for me to sort through my thoughts. I would drive through the countryside and backroads. It killed the hours sometimes. Would escaping into a book help? Maybe go see a movie?
Hope the day goes fast for you and you feel better soon! That's great you have classes coming up! It will definitely help to have something to focus on.
Read books and get fudge on the pages so they smell good the next time you read the book
Take 5 pictures out of you albmuns and put who they are and a decade on the back.
Watch a vhs or dvd you havent watched in 2 years.
Get some crayons and a coloring book and color. (They had me do this in the Hospital and it was very nice).
Make a list of 10 housekeeping things you COULD doand do one one at a time only IF YOU WANT TO.
Good luck I know just where you are at. The day just blank blank stretches out forever. At least you have someone coming thru the door I dont.
any how most people are able to bead and it's fun!
or you could try scrap booking (LMAO I know that sounds like an old lady project but it's not) If you have enough crativity scrap booking is fun and you can use just about anything you find laying around to do it. :)
