I strained a muscle in my back to go along with my other health issues. The doctor gave me flexeril and some pain meds. I don't know if it's my pain or what but I'm so angry right now. I want to punch things. My boyfriend wants me to wait until he gets home to take the muscle relaxer because they knock me out.

I also had to get blood drawn today for my thyroid since I was taken off my thyroid med 6 weeks ago and the doctor wants my level checked. It took 3 different people to get my blood because my veins never corporate. My sister n law says she gets angry when her thyroid is off.

I don't know if I should call my p doc or t doc tomorrow or just chalk it up to me not feeling good. Maybe I'll punch my pillow. Ugh. This is the 4th time I've strained my back. The last time I had to do physical therapy for it. Sorry for venting. I feel like I'm never going to feel better.

You did the right thing by coming here. Perhaps eating more fish would help your Thyroid?

Sorry you are feeling anger... and frustration, it sounds like, Reds. You've gone through so much recently. I totally get the thyroid stuff too. I am going in to have my levels checked again Thursday because my thyroid was off whack a few weekends ago when I was admitted to the hospital. I have had different experiences with doctors....some are really quick to change your synthroid dosage off the bat, some want to check it after some time passes because sometimes it levels out again on its own. It's so weird, and it affects so much of how we are feeling overall. I wish I had something relieving to say to you....just sending over some cyber ((((hugs)))).

Work with your docs on the back pain and thyroid/anger. I've never been in favor of pain meds but you've got to do what helps.
Get a back brace and use it.

I thought about a back brace. I'll go back on the thyroid med if I need too. People keep asking me why I stopped taking it but my doctor took me off it and wanted to check how I responded after 6 weeks.

I'm so sorry for your trouble. You actually have a story similar to mine.I slipped getting out of the shower last week and twisted my back again. I can't get into my spine doctor till next week though. My friend came and got me and my dog for a week. Shes driving me to my endocrinologist Friday anyway for my crazy thyroid. I get depressed when mine is off ......i have had 3 inpatient stays over the years from incompetent er people not getting sometimes sick and crying is truly sick.....I do take synthroid but my other health issues make the absorption unreliable. I would say the anger could be the thyroid or the pain meds or the muscle relaxers. if your are sensitive like me. I can no longer take pain killers other then Tylenol and no muscle relaxers not allowed by spine doc. good luck call your gp get a thyroid test and then your pdoc maybe get them on board too never can have to much support right? good luck be nice to you now its more important then ever.

Back pain is the WORST! I'm so sorry! Physical hurt or illness just gets huge when combined with mental pain. Big Hugs!

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
