After i was burned way back in 95,, as i began healing after multiple surgeries i began having difficulty sleeping. Every single time i fell asleep, moments later i woke screaming, because my brain was replaying me burning. My vision deteriorated, lost all peripheral vision, like trying to live life seeing through two small straws. I lost nearly a hundred pounds. I became quite delirious not to mention too exhausted to do even the simplest of tasks. They put me on stronger and stronger sleep meds that did not work. Finally after i had two heart attacks and coded, they put me in a medically induced coma.
Sleep is not a waste of time. It is a physical necessity to allow our bodies and minds to rest and recharge. Without proper sleep, we are far more prone to illness and poor mental acuity.
Hating something we need to live healthy lives is nonsensical.
I hope that you have all of your meds soon
