Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Money does have a tendency to affect our self-worth, but we know better. Taking a walk outside, looking at the colors in nature, feeling a cool breeze... spending time with my cat (when he wants some attention)... talking with a friend... listening to some music...
Make any sense? I guess not. But I too have vented about this very thought process, mistakenly on my blog ( which my husband then read) and felt personally attacked by my lack of interest in life.
I think and believe that my utter disappointment in life is because I have not walked the path I am supposed to walk. (No spiritual meaning intended, actually just that I am frustratingly intelligent, but am in a relationship that does not condone me working outside the home.)
I am dreadfully unhappy with my choices and how I have given my power away over the years.
My dad passed away last month at the age of 74. Although I think he achieved a certain level of greatness, he knew that he never reached even half of his potential.
I can count the few times I saw my dad laugh. Sorry I digress, but what I meant to say, was...
Yes you cannot admit these things on Facebook....never...
And yes life can seem like a freaken waste of time, ....if you are not happy with yourself.
I have no words of encouragement, except, if you can find the tiniest little bit of respect for yourself as a being, a strong, intelligent being, with talents that you have maybe forgotten about, or a skill that you can use to help others...do it.
Push yourself to make a difference to your day. You can! You must!
You're right life isn't fair, beauty fades, the body wears down, we don't get everything we wish for, money doesn't grow on trees, people we love move away or die but there is more than one side of the pole of being bipolar and most of the time we're somewhere in the middle of good and bad.
I hope that you feel better soon.
