My definition of a functional family is a stable environment with supportive parents who look out fr the best interest of their kids. Kinda like they used to show us back in the day. Family Matters, the Cosby Show. I love dysfunctional too. You'll really love Shameless.

Where can I watch it iam? I looked it up on netflix and they have just "Shameless" but it sounds like what you are describing. It just doesn't say "USA." and this one has been out from 2004-20012.

You are right I guess there are some Functional old shows that were pretty good but you sure don't see them now at least I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Netflex is different in different countries... We can't get all of the programs available in the US... dd suggested I watch a movie but we don't get it unfortunately

Functional went out the door ages ago. It's all about the drama. I watch all my shows on http://projectfreetv.ch/. Just search Shameless and all the episodes from season 5 back to 1 will come up. Click on the episode itself, not the 'watch this link' then click on 'vodlocker' then 'continue to video' then 'proceed to video' and you'll be able to watch it. That's my system. If you choose to download it you can find it on kickass but you'll need a torrent downloader. The USA version started in 2011. Let me know if it works for you.

We weren't bashing America. The show does portray what people have come to consider 'white trash'. If it makes you feel any better every country has it's own version. In Jamaica we have ghetto people, vagabonds, gully rats etc...
