I love the idea of a service dog, but I'm afraid it will just attract attention to me when that's the last thing I want - but I really want a service dog!!!

I read a book with a man who was epileptic and had a service dog who would alert him of an oncoming seizure. He had the most ridiculous explanations for the dog's presence. You could have fun spinning some tales too. Lol. I'd love a service dog but I highly doubt we have institutions that can train them like Fred has been.

I read a little while ago about Emotional Support Animals heing recognized as service animals in the US. You have to have some letter from your pdoc or therapist to have your animal certified. I didn't look into all of the nitty gritty details, but I love the idea!

Be aware, that your furry pet, may not be considered as a Therapy Dog.

A Therapy Dog must be certified as being socially adaptable...even tempered and not aggressive to anyone.

I've checked this out.

As much as I love my little Pom, he is too high strung and can get dicey in public areas

I have a dog but he's not a service dog. I trained him & socialised him when he was a puppy, so he is very obediant & sociable with other dogs & people. He never jumps up at anybody or goes on furniture etc. He picks up on my mood before I do sometimes.

My little dog would be a perfect service dog except she was paper trained when I got her and could not get her to go without paper underneath her. So she uses a crate and I don't know how I would get around that without someone re-training her. Hell, it would make me even more a

Lol. Yeah, that part of having a dog has always worried me. My landlady has a dog and I have NEVER seen her go. EVER. She's well trained
