I take it for sleep.
Being able to sleep is a major problem for me.
In the past few months, I've had a night here and there when the Seroquel didn't work it's magic.
The instructions were to double the dose if and when that happens.
The last time, doubling it didn't work. So now I take 200 mg a night (which is the 'double' of what I was previously taking) and I'm to take another 100 mg if I STILL have trouble sleeping.
I was on Seroquel a long time ago, went off of it, and now have gone back on it.
The first time around with it, my therapeutic dose was 400 mg.
I took seroquel for maybe 6 months and gained 50 pounds. I became so depressed and almost suicidal for the weight gain my pdoc took me off of it and put me on lunestal and riserdone, and also gave me klonopin to use as needed.
It took me almost a year and a half and a gym membership and a nutritionist $$$$$$$$ to get the weight off.
