I know some of you have taken or still take this. I also know one of the side effects is weight gain. I seem to be an oddity because when my dose was upped two weeks ago my appetite dipped. My appetite wasn't great befire but I'm down to one meal a day and no snacks. I bought some protein shakes just to get something in my stomach because I rarely eat breakfast anyway. If I eat lunch even at noon I'm not hungry at dinner time. Unfortunately I need seroquel in order to sleep. Trazodone, Vistaril and melatonin have all stopped working. Honestly I'd rather be able to sleep than to eat but I have an appointment with my gp in two weeks so then I'll ask her about other sleep aids I can try. Just putting this out there.

my experience with seroquel when I was on small dose with lamotrigine was that I had some very weird side effects. The weirdest being that my body would forget how to do the last step on stairs or escalators, either going up or down. I'd go up or down normally, get the last step and then have to stop and then concentrate on doing that final step. That made me really popular on the London underground.

It seems to be even more individual with weird or unexpected side effects than other stuff I've been on.

I think allied with the weight gain is that it ups your blood sugar levels or something like that and that can be an issue. I'd make sure you let someone medically trained know about that because maybe your lack of appetite is a sign of a more serious side effect.

Yes I have an appointment with my dr in two weeks. That's as soon as I could get in

That is what I am taking and yes all the others stopped working for me as well. I have gained 10 pounds but will figure that out later. My mom takes Golo and has lost some not sure about interactions. Anyway Maybe some day I will exercise more than just walking around LOL

And even though they prescribe it for sleep it is an antipsychotic be aware of those side effects can be brutal and may not go away

    Today mom and I are taking Moo and Copper to the vet for vaccines.  I'm watching a movie having coffee while copper snoozes in between my knees.  What does Thursday look like for you?

    Does anyone here have a comfort item you carry with you when you go out? For example this is my doll, Annie, and I've recently been bringing her with me when I run errrands flor have an appointment. Holding her comforts me. I've bought her clothes, crocheted for her, I recently bought a personalized blanket with her name on it.  Just wondering if anyone else has a comfort item.
