I just received a letter (dated earlier than they sent it of course) from an assistant city prosecutor warning me there's about to be a bench warrant issued for my arrest. And what horrible, evil, awful, unforgivable thing have I done?
I forgot to return my library books.
Seriously....WTF?!?!?!?
I am so mad, I wrote back and asked where the money from the fines goes since our library sucks and there's dozens of books listed as "lost" in the card catalogue so obviously they're not replacing the books people don't turn in.
Has anybody heard of anything so effing asinine?
I'm so mad I could spit. Btw, I'd already turned the books back in before the letter.

My husband ,at the time ,was a Deputy Sheriff...he served me the papers..what a joke!
But, yea, once I have to pay $25 for a $12 book they lost.
Get a warrant for that... c'mon, you should start open your mail.

That makes me remember when my pdoc asked if I hear voices.
I answer "Don't you? How do you know when you do bad things".
He kept silence, dunno why. Maybe he is in this DS group now.
