last 2 winters and most past that i get depressed every winter...could i be bipolar and seasonal depressed? i dont no to much about it at all anyone? comments( not about my shittie spellin)

Some people with BP have a seasonal pattern--which is not considered true SAD, but just BP w/seasonal cycling...(manias in spring, depression in fall/winter)

im happy-er in the spring summer..okay ya maybe abit manic so its not consder SAD...then what the hell do i do ! depression in the winter is f***ing up my life massively job famliy bf everything ..physcal to i dont take care of myself so that puts me deeper in

Only a psyc can tell you that I'm afraid. Don't be scared of it. It's easily handled. I recommend seeing a therapist first. It will really help you.

I dunno...I get hypomanic (worst case scenerio- full blown manic) most summer's. (BP1)
(=but have travelled in Summer & been mixed..and severely depressed..so I have no idea)

did read some snippet about link between BP2 & SAD...like, heavy downs with winter,

i have bp2 with MDD and SAD. along with all of the other stuff i am doing(which i don't see a difference yet because i am still having maintenance ECT with an additional one this week) i bought a SAD lamp. now, if i could only remember to use the dern thing, paid $200 for it and there it sits in the corner, forgot to use it yesterday. all i know is winter makes me feel like crap, summer and spring is blissful. i don't know whether winter and fall is the separation anxiety from kidlet and dh? because in summer i have her at home with me and do pretty well. i should hire a freakin caregiver to keep me company. when i am not asleep, i am on here or the phone, it is like i have to be in constant contact with someone. god forbid something ever happen to one of the two of them and i will be gone quicker than anyone can imagine.

I have cycled down to depression most of my life, in the Fall and winter. I use a light box, periodic tanning bed, extra vitamin D and increase anti depressant every fall. It works well for me, especially the last few years. Talk to your therapist and pdoc and investigate SAD online. You can use most of the same treatment that is used for SAD even if you dont suffer from it. It has helped others that I know have been depressed as soon as the days get shorter, or that cycle with the seasons.
